Mike is currently a member of National Frame Builders (NFBA), serves on the Builder Advisory Committee for Wick Buildings, and has held various positions in his church. He is past president of Community Memorial Hospital Board in Sumner Iowa.
Personal
Mike grew up on a dairy farm and learned the value of hard work and long hours. He is an avid hunter, enjoying deer and goose hunting. In the summer months Mike enjoys occasional weekend boating with his family on the Mississippi River. He is married to Laure, his wife of 37 years, and has four children and two son-in-laws, and 1 granddaughter. Mike also enjoys farming and growing corn and soybeans around his home.
He is a member of the Iowa Corn Growers Association, and Iowa Soybean Association, as well as the Farm Bureau and is a Bremer County Fair Pink Ribbon Sponsor.
